Description
- Aida is an opera by Giuseppe Verdi in four acts, based on a subject by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette. It tells the tragic love story between Aida, an Ethiopian princess reduced to slavery, and Radamès, the commander of the Egyptian troops. Their bond is hampered by war and the jealousy of Amneris, daughter of the Pharaoh.
